„NEW BEGINNINGS“
Aboriginal Art Exhibition with works from Central Australia

Exhibition Venue: Castle Zweibrüggen

It is the first collaborative exhibition of indigenous art of the Aboriginal Art Galleries Brit‘s Art & Promotion - Übach-Palenberg - and Central Art - Alice Springs.
The City of Übach-Palenberg feels honoured to be patron of this unique show of premium Aboriginal Art from renowned artists from Central and Western Desert.

Both exhibiting galleries are connected through their passion for the art of the first Australians.

Aboriginal Art invites us over and over again to discover, to be amazed and to stay curious like little children.

Each painting conveys a segment of the more than 50.000 year old culture, which has never needed written language to pass on knowledge and wisdom.

These works are as stunning and amazing as the personalities of the creators themselves. The striking and inventive techniques and colouring of the compositions are overwhelming, impressive and do take the audience on a journey.

If there is any art, which has the right to call itself art, it is the art of the first Australians.

They are the people, whom we admire for their strength and struggles to keep their culture alive - not only in history, even today, on a day to day basis.

Giving thought about the circumstances in which the art is created,
it is sheer unbelievable to see an output of absolutely vivid, powerful and brilliant artworks. We do admire these people who deserve to be in the spotlight of the art world.

The ancient Castle Zweibrüggen in Übach-Palenberg is located very close to Aachen. The metropolitan cities of the State Northrhine Westfalia - Düsseldorf and Cologne - are in distance of just 45 minutes traveling time.
There is no entrance fee for the exhibition. Ample car parking possibilities are free of charge. The Aboriginal Art Exhibition „New Beginnings“ is open every weekend from 11:30 - 18:00 h in December and January on Saturday and Sunday (despite 18th and 19th of December 2010). During the week the exhibition can be seen by appointment only. We do offer tours through the exhibition for groups and school classes.
