A remarkable story in the Fairfax press is linking the joys and benefits of art-making to the social pressures that have often caused Darwin Aborigines to 'take to the long grass' – in other words drop out and 'squat' in one of the patches of open ground scattered around the NT capital.
And exhibition of the art produced is on at the Darwin Entertainment Centre – but only until Saturday December 5th.
