Alcaston Gallery is proud to exhibit works from Bentinck Island and Mornington Island artists at CIAF 09 this weekend

Alcaston Gallery in conjunction with Mornington Island Arts presents Queensland artists from Bentinck Island and Mornington Island at the inaugural Cairns Indigenous Art Fair 2009, the grand opening of which was held last night.

CIAF is a celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, with the art fair complemented by performances, workshops and the CIAF Symposium. Performances include dance, music, storytelling and song, and visitors can see artists at work at Djumbunji Press. Alcaston Gallery acknowledges the support of the Queensland Government through its initiative, the Cairns Indigenous Art Fair 2009.
